St. Teresa's Episcipal Church, Acworth, GA August 2006-June 2007

One person said the interim showed the congregation that they could do things differently on their own. The new rector is enjoying the fruits of this lesson.
The parish published its rector search profile in electronic form, a CD! St. Teresa's is just 10 years old and is now on her way to reaching some long held goals.
The interim task to affirm congregational identity was very important. The Anglican presence in West Cobb County, Georgia is vital in a place not known for its enthusiasm for progressive religion!
Another interim task at St. Teresa's was to encourage the congregation to believe it could do church after their founding rector moved out of state. Verdict: success. A number of people thought the new priest would have a tough act to follow. My goal is that in 10 years when he retires the people will look back to 2006 and say "we had an interim before and it wasn't all that bad!"
The parish successfully called a new rector on-time and under budget.
